Exposed brick, concrete and planted balconies: a neighborhood-scale building that ages well within the fabric of Montevideo. The barbecue area, resolved in wood and corten steel, continues the material language of the whole.

The studio
Aline Hughes Studio is an architecture and interior design studio based in Uruguay. We accompany every project from the first idea to the last construction detail, with a serene, timeless language in which materials, light and landscape take the leading role.
Led by Aline Hughes, an architect with a decade of experience and a Master's in Interior Design, the studio works with the same conviction: listen first, draw second, and build without giving up the detail.
